This was our first time staying at a hostel, and we really enjoyed it. The staff at K’s House were super friendly and kind, and the rooms were clean. It’s not fancy or luxurious, but it has a really warm, friends-and-family kind of vibe, which we loved. Like most places in Japan, the rooms are small—but that’s totally expected. All in all, we had a great stay, and I’d 100% come back again next time we’re in Tokyo. Things to note: Beds - On the firm side, typical in Japan. Bathroom - Tiny Shared Space - In the lobby/ground floor, you have access to a kitchen if you want to cook your own food.

This was my third stay in this hostel and I would not hesitate to use it in future. Asakusa is my beloved location in Tokyo and this hostel -although pretty basic - has all I need during a few days' stay. Tea and coffee are free, plenty of room in the fridge to keep your groceries, kitchen utensils and crockery to make your own meals (except for breakfast, wouldn't think of making your own food in Japan, as eating in this country is sheer bliss). Plus lovely, friendly staff! When we arrived there was a mini tea ceremony free of charge for the guests - what a treat (although we arrived too late to participate).

The 4 person shared dorm was very spacious and included a sink, sofa, toilet and other useful amenities like a hair dryer which could be shared between the 4 of us, making it far more comfortable than a stay at a typical capsule hotel. The dorm I was in also had a balcony attached with a view of Tokyo sky tree and the lantern lit streets below. The staff here were so lovely and made me feel very well accommodated; they were very friendly and I had a long conversation about my trip with one of them which was nice, they also provided a sheet with locations of restaurants in the area which they personally recommend.

excellent liitle hotel in Asakusa, close to Senso-ji and well located by all the little neighborhood streets for all food, drinks and shopping. the double room was nice and compact sized, as usual in Japan. staff is lovely and very helpful. ¡gracias Marc! there is a small common kitchen that can be used for breakfast with free coffee and tea. as a suggestion, the double mattrass could be improved, but we had a great stay at K's House and would happily come back again. it was quiet and we had good sleep. there is a washer+dryer on the top floor too, for 500¥. this is a good and affordable accomodation for Tokyo in a lovely part of town.

We arrived after the staffed check-in, but there is a keypad entry and clear instructions for finding our room. The room itself was clean and the bed was very cozy. The staff was all very kind and welcoming and all of the shared spaces were comfortable and clean. The location was quiet, though close to the subway, convience and grocery stores, and Sensō-ji. I would definitely not hesitate to stay here again.

Room was as advertised - no surprises. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. They provided restaurant recommendations and also additional pillows when requested. Hostel was quiet and no issues with noisiness at night. Great location as it's close to a grocery store, Senso-ji templet, subway stop, etc.

This was a great backpacker hostel on the whole. Very friendly staff, and decent communal facilities on the ground floor. The location was great - Asakusa is an older more traditional area of Japan (than Ginza, Shinjuku etc) and we had proper Japanese shops and bars on the doorstep open all hours, only a short walk to the lovely Senso-ji shrine, and a great view of Tokyo Sky Tree. And there was working air-con & wifi :)

The staff is amazing, it's like arriving at a friend's house. They make you feel so welcomed, give you lots of information, love to hear about your experience and your travels. The neighbourhood is amazing, authentic, lots of restaurants options, not crowded, senso ji Temple is a 4 min walk, we also walked to kappabashi Street just around the corner, the national museum and Yanaka area. Amazing !
